4 – 6 pork steaks or pork chops
8 tbsp soy sauce
6 tbsp tomato ketchup/sauce
4 tbsp honey
1 tsp Chinese five-spice powder
1 packet fresh Chinese noodles
2 tbsp oil
1 red capsicum, finely sliced
2 spring onions, finely sliced
Preheat oven to 180°C/350F°.
Combine soy sauce, tomato ketchup/sauce, honey and five-spice powder. Add steak to the marinade and leave for 1 hour or up to 24 hours for the flavours to infuse the meat.
Place steaks or chops on an oven tray and bake for 10-15 minutes or until cooked through.
While the pork is cooking, quickly fry the capsicum and white parts of the spring onions in the oil until brightly coloured and just heated through. Add the green part of the spring onion at the end of cooking.
Cook the noodles according to the packet instructions and keep warm.
Remove the pork from the oven, slice on the diagonal and lay across the top of the hot noodles, top with the veges and remaining marinade from the oven tray.
